Royal Homes makes big donation, as hospital plans for redevelopment.
The latest in a series of significant donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation’s “Our Hospital, Our Future” fundraising campaign comes from an area business. Royal Homes is pledging $100,000 over five years.
In making the donation, Doug Kuyvenhoven says Royal Homes is challenging other businesses in the Wingham and North Huron area to contribute.He believes area businesses have a responsibility to ensure the future of local healthcare.
The Township of North Huron and Morris-Turnberry have also made six-figure donations in recent weeks. The $4 million dollar campaign is targeted at major renovations at Wingham and District Hospital, and the conversion of the former Wingham Public School into a wellness campus.
