Huron County council has approved a draft plan of condominium for Huron East that will consist of ten buildings, each containing 4 townhouses, northeast of the Seaforth Public Hospital.
Steven Smelt is the Executive Vice-President for the applicant, JL Retirement Living.
He says they hope to have the plan for the condominium officially approved by the end of February.
He explains the condos are being built by Royal Homes and they’d like to be able to order the first two buildings but don’t want to commit to that until the plan of the condominium is approved.
Smelt says they hope to have the first two condominiums occupied by July of this year and the retirement homes by August of next year.
